Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
As you know, I've finished reading three books out of Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead. I have been eagerly waiting for the upcoming book, The Fiery Heart. Because of the roller coaster emotions I've been experiencing, I decided to read Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver.
Goodreads Synopsis :
What if you only had one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?
Samantha Kingston has it all: looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it turns out to be her last.
The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. Living the last day of her life seven times during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.
Here's what I think :
I can say that I had doubts about this book because I don't really like the Delirium trilogy. But, I'm glad to announce that I was wrong. Although I don't absolutely love it, but it's quite moving. It's such a pleasure to see that Lauren has addressed many important issues that surround adolescents, like : bullying, peer pressure, taking life for granted, etc. It's great to see the character progressed and realized her own mistakes and eventually justifying it by sacrificing herself. I think a lot of people could really identify with the character.
Just like the Delirium trilogy, the thing that I hate about this book is THE ENDING. It's puzzling, to be honest. When I finished reading it, I was like : 'Huh??'. But, all in all it was okay.

Writing
This week, I've been given the dreaded writing assignment. Since I'm in my first semester, I only need to write a narrative (Fiuh...). At least that's better than writing an exposition. This time, there are two topics : supernatural and/or adventure story. Usually, I get really depressed because I have to think of my upcoming task ahead. But, I'm also looking forward to write something that's a little different. For my last two narratives, the characters I wrote are in their mid twenties to thirties. But for once I want to create a young adult-genre story.
It's gonna take a while, since I'm still brainstorming. And also because I'm really addicted to the Bloodlines series-the series that follow up the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead- that I just want to dive into every single hour I have to spare. I even spent these last couple of nights finishing those awesome books. Damn, I hate to procrastinate, but it's just super alluring.
Okay, I gotta go guys. There's a book waiting for me now. Haha... Bye!! :)

Jasmine's Birthday
Hey guys, usually nothing out of the ordinary happen on my Sundays. But since last week was Jasmine's birthday, I hung out with the ole' gang. Haha.. It's good to see them really. I didn't realize it but I actually miss the teasing, gossiping, trash talking, and boy problems (It REALLY is unexpected).
So, first we all gathered at Belinda E's house. Then, the birthday girl picked us up to go to Sun Plaza. That's where the teasing and gossiping started. Jasmine treated us at Teddy Coffee and we gave her the presents : an adorable Rilakkuma bag and a cute denim skirt-like pencil case. After that, we went to Gramedia to search for books and we were seized by a fit of narcism. Unfortunately, some of us had to go to practice or somewhere else. So, we parted ways with big smiles upon our faces at the end of the day.
