Hey, guys! Happy Halloween!! I know Halloween's usually a time when Ghost Busters and horror movies thrive. And people dress up in costumes to scare the living shit out of people. But, in Indonesia, it's not exactly an acclaimed day. Most of the time, people don't acknowledge Halloween. Usually it's just a few people who make parties to celebrate it.
Anyway, you must be wondering why I would write "Farewell" as my post title. It's because tomorrow, I'm leaving for Singapore. Earlier this year, I've been accepted to study in Singapore for 4 years on a scholarship. And it will commence on January next year. So, I'm going to be super busy and probably won't have time to read a lot of books. :( But, hey education is important. So, I'm sorry if I won't be online more often.
Hope you guys have a great Halloween!! :)
Live life like it's your last

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
Hey, guys! I am currently obsessed with this book right here. This book is officially one of THE best books I've ever read. I just finished it last night. But, it was late. So, I decided to write this post today.
Goodreads Synopsis :
An assassin’s loyalties are always in doubt.
But her heart never wavers.
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.
Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king's bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she's given a task that could jeopardize everything she's come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon -- forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.
Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?
Here's what I think :
OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! Oh My God! oh my god! omg! omg! omg! (fades in the distance). This book here is beyond words and awesomeness. I think this book is better than the first book - Throne of Glass. This book is a mix of young adult, fantasy, magic and so many other things into one. Usually I don't really like or read a fantasy book. But, Crown of Midnight proofed me wrong in so many levels. Although it IS a fantasy book, but it's not solely focused on the fantasy. That's why I LOVE IT!!!!!
First of all, the story is paced so perfectly. There's never a dull moment. It's always moving, always kept me wondering. (But sadly, I was not feeling well when I read this, so I kept reading in different moments of the day, which in turn, cause me to not get carried away in the awesome story that Sarah weaved.) It's about an assasin whose past was really shitty. (But, I think that's why it has its appeal. I'm starting to have a really wierd badass characters-who-have-really-shitty-past fetish. I mean it's really empowering to see their ascend towards glory or things like that.) And Celeana was perfect in her own broken kind of way.
Second, the romance, the LOVE TRIANGLE (but, I no longer think it's a love triangle. Gah! I don't know) between Dorian and Chaol is beautiful and infuriating. I think Chaol is Celaena's other puzzle piece. (I'm Team Chaol all the way!) I mean the King's Champion and the Captain of The Guards had rather similar pasts and they fit together so perfectly. But, because this is a story, of course there's a complication. (Why is there a complication?! WHY?!) They were so happy without stupid complication interrupting. Gah! But, the complication is important to the story. (Hmmm...)
Third, THE FEELS. The story is a roller coaster ride. So, it went up, up, up, high above and everything comes crashing down, down, down below. The happiness and the sadness all mingled together. The anger and the guilt interacted with each other. AH!! Why?!
Last, but not least, (because there is still much more to say) the revelations in this book is numerous and is placed in the end. (which is placed perfectly) Everything made much more sense after it is known. But, because the revelations are positioned in the ending, it made the ending particularly torturous because it's a CLIFFHANGER.

Hey, guys!! I just saw this like a few minutes ago on Twitter. There is finally a cover and synopsis for Killer Frost.. Yayyyy!!!! But, this is gonna be the final installment of the series :( :(.. And it's going to be released at March next year... (double :( :( ) Anyway, I have really high hopes about the ending (fingers crossed). So, without further ado, here you go.
Synopsis :
I’ve battled the Reapers of Chaos before—and survived. But this time I have a Bad, Bad Feeling it’s going to be a fight to the death … most likely mine.
Yeah, I’ve got my psychometry magic, my talking sword, Vic–and even the most dangerous Spartan on campus at my side, in Logan freaking Quinn, but I’m no match for Loki, the evil Norse god of chaos. I may be Nike’s Champion, but at heart, I’m still just Gwen Frost, that weird Gypsy girl everyone at school loves to gossip about.
Then someone I love is put in more danger than ever before, and something inside me snaps. This time, Loki and his Reapers are going down for good … or I am.

Spark by Brigid Kemmerer
Hey, guys! It's been a while. But, I'm back and ready to roll. Wow! That's a really lame catch phrase. Okay, I've just finished this book and I want to share it with you. Enjoy!!
Synopsis :
Synopsis :
Gabriel Merrick plays with fire. Literally.
Sometimes he can even control it. And sometimes he can’t.
Gabriel has always had his brothers to rely on, especially his twin, Nick. But when an arsonist starts wreaking havoc on their town, all the signs point to Gabriel. Only he’s not doing it.
And no one seems to believe him. Except a shy sophomore named Layne, a brainiac who dresses in turtlenecks and jeans and keeps him totally off balance. Layne understands family problems, and she understands secrets. She has a few of her own.
Gabriel can’t let her guess about his brothers, about his abilities, about the danger that’s right at his heels. But there are some risks he can’t help taking.
The fuse is lit…
Here's what I think :

Here's what I think :
I've downloaded this series a while ago and I've been meaning to get into it, but I kept getting distracted by other books and so on.... So, I read this yesterday and finished it today. And I was mind-blown - still am. It was so sweet and badass at the same time.
Gabriel Merrick is definitely turning into one of my book boyfriends. I mean he seemed like a bully at the beginning, but it was like a defense mechanism for him. He wanted to hide that vulnerability and sadness and guilt with anger. I guess that's why most people misjudged him - including his brothers. But, Layne was the one who could get under his skin and just guide him through that tunnel of sorrow. Gabriel also helped Layne overcame her shyness and insecurities. It was so sweeeeeeet!! I was gonna melt in a puddle right there while reading their interactions. I think they were both each other's lifesavers. (swoooooonnnnnn...)
Okay, that was the sweet part, this is gonna be the badass part. There was no shortage of awesome action there. There was brawls, fires, even elemental fights. Yeah, I know. Cool, right? Though the action in the first book was epic, it wasn't as great here, but it was sufficient enough.
What spurred me to write this post is the hidden meaning in this book. It just hit me hard. It was so harsh to see people not doing anything wrong, but just because they exist, they were bullied. I mean how sick is that? You're not God, you know. You, bullies, are just insecure about yourselves and make other people feel bad just to make yourselves feel superior. This is just wrong, you know?!
Okay, guys, that's for today. I think I just wrote a crappy not-quite-there-yet review. And I kept on rambling God knows what. Ohh, I forgot, this series is a MUST-read. It's awesome, So, go check it out. Bye!!
